Middle Trewern

Longtown  Black Mountains  Herefordshire

A place of peace and tranquility with magnificent all round views, set on the edge of the Black Mountains.  An authentic Longhouse built around the time of the Civil War with it's very old beams, paneled walls and staircases it exudes history.   There has been a house here since medieval times. The two large fireplaces, oil paintings, old books and memorabilia add to the atmosphere.

Outside the barn is home to a range of geese, ducks and fowl's all very free range.  The property stands in it's own land of some 13 acres.

The Longhouse has three guests rooms and can sleep eight but I very rarely have more then four, unless it's one large party.
One bedroom has an African mood with many genuine artifacts brought back over the years.   Another is book lined, whilst the third with it's King size bed has impressive beams plus a Mullion window.

Guests share their own bathroom, but the house is never crowded as I restrict the number of guests that stay.

Breakfast is healthy, with homemade bread and marmalade and our own free range eggs of various kinds.

The Black Mountains surround a valley containing the Mynydd Du Forest and Grwyne Fawr River. Hikes here lead to fabulous views in all directions.
